South Summit Christian Church

Rev. Chad Turner has been part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) his entire life. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1996 and received his Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School in 2003. Chad has a strong passion for music and ministry, and previously served as Associate Minister of Music, Youth, and Education at First Christian Church in Gainesville, TX. Before moving to Lee’s Summit, Chad and Cindy lived near Houston, TX, where Chad served with The Woodlands Christian Church for nearly 5 years. Chad and Cindy have been married since 1997 and have two sons, Adam and Alex.  

Rev. Ralph Keller has been preaching and sharing his ministry since 1947. He graduated from Phillips University in 1951 and received a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1954. He later received a Masters Degree in counseling from Webster University. After serving churches in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri he entered the U.S. Air Force as a Chaplin in 1966, retiring in 1984. After retiring, Ralph served the Hillside Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas and then spent eight years as Chaplain at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, Missouri. Ralph served as an Interim Minister with many churches in the area before coming to South Summit in 2006. Ralph considers one of his richest blessings to be the marriage to his wife, Jean, since 1949 and enjoying their five sons and a daughter.

Bret Fischer has been involved in church music since he was a child. Music is his passion. He met his wife in the music department at University of Central Missouri several years ago. Although his career path took a different direction, the church has allowed him the opportunity to use his musical gifts in the service of God. Bret and Ann have been married 20 years and have three boys – Drew, Grant and Chad.

Sara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration: Marketing from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.  She is currently in pursuit of her Master of Divinity degree at Phillips Graduate Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Over the past several years, Sara has enjoyed working with youth of all ages as a director and counselor with the Tall Oaks Camp & Conference Center program.
